Diane Burt started out serving a 6 year stent in the United States Navy as a hospital Corpsman. After her tour of duty she worked as a LPN while attending Cumberland County College where she obtained her registered nursing degree. Diane received her Master’s degree in nursing and her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Wilmington University in 1999. Diane enjoyed meeting the mental health needs of her family practice patients. This inspired her to enroll in the University of South Alabama psychiatric nurse practitioner program. She engaged with her family practice patients in multiple settings. For the past 11 years she has been helping her patients with their mental health needs working in a psychiatric setting at Center for Family Guidance. Diane is happily married and loves spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is also an avid dog lover. Diane has rescued many dogs and spoiled them rotten.
